Ok so today is our Stingray Club's head coach,Cindy Ong's birthday. Because of that, during training this morning we played underwater hockey. There was to be no suffering or pain that we usually suffer from training. By the way, my group won 6-2 =).
Ok now about Cindy. Cindy is our head coach and can be strict sometimes. Ok fine almost every time. She actually doesn't coach me. She coaches other swimmers. I'm under her brother Allen. Anyway, she 1st came here from the U.S after completing her studies 2 years ago to fill in for Allen while he was away at a coaching course. After that our previous head coach left to be with his family in China so she stayed here permanently to become the new 1. Most of us were surprised with her unique training programs since hers is U.S influenced while before was from China. I'm sure most of us have improved alot since she came.
Oh and by the way, she qualified for the 2004 Athens Olympics along with Allen. But unfortunately she didn't go while Allen did. She wanted to continue with her studies. Besides that she has a long period shoulder injury which is probably going to be permanent. She claims she is not sad about not going for knowing she qualified is good enough.
So happy birthday coach!!! Although sometimes we may wish you never show up for training or don't take your training seriously, we still are very grateful that your here. And although i'm not your swimmer i'm still glad your in the club.
